Thickness and Quality

Many Bedliner companies cut costs by spraying what they can get away with. This means you may have a suboptimal liner installation on your truck bed walls or near the back of your bed. Often the rails are sprayed thicker to give the appearance of a great application of bedliner. Don’t be fooled by this.
At Flany’s we use proper quality control to guarantee the right mil height on your installation. 100 mils on areas needing more protection and between 60-80 mils on lesser wear areas.

  1. Hello,

I work for a automotive plant in southern Ontario. The shipping department has a fleet of 14+ lift trucks that continue to be receive abuse on their paint jobs and require rear body work. I am doing some research on applying “bed liner” material to the backs of the lift trucks as protection. My question to you is, is your company mobile to do on-site work? I only ask due to the large number of units we have that we wont be able to bring to you.

    thanks for you time.

    Mike Kellar

    • Mike,

      Thank you.
This can be quoted by our mobile applicators near London. They offer the top warranty; manufacture backed and can schedule on-site application.
Price for on-site jobs start at $152.71 CAD per sq meter ($14.20 per sq ft) with average lifts approx 9.29 sq meters ( 100 sq ft ) each. This is a smaller job, i.e. more costly.
If there is a handy person(s) at TTNA, we ship professional-grade poly-hybrid with spray equipment on “loan” for 45 days (no cost). Lift trucks usually use a thick lining
Which has flexible characteristics (elastomeric line), SLPV-114-AS is product code.

Price of SLPV-114-AS $40.50 CAD per sq meter ($3.77 per sq ft) … all is at height spec of 1.6mm ( 63 mils ) … Colors are available.

    • Dave, Randy Lontz at SLC taught us to apply Flexible Lining Systems bedliner. And how to reply to these inquiries. Lontz clarifies that new truck beds are 1-2 hours where older paint requires more time… up to 4 hours to complete. That’s been the case at Flany’s so far. New trucks are mainly de-waxed. Older ones are cleaned, scuffed, primed in spots, etc. Taping requires 30 minutes at Flany’s. You can take the truck immediately with light or no loading or leave it here overnight.

At Wellesley Watering Hole Water Park in Wellesley, ON, my crew and I watched as Randy Lontz, his support team from SLC and a Graco engineer cranked out 6 full size F-250 flat beds inside of 2 hours. But few or no shops have that experience.

  3. DOUG AT FLANNY’S IS ALSO A Krown Rust Control in Stratford, Ontario. I did not like Krown because I still have rust via my 44 ft trailer frame. I noticed Doug used Scorpion which requires no certification to apply. SLC does require certification to apply professionally. Doug is a good guy and a great applicator but Krown, unlike Spray-Lining & Coatings or Scorpion is a real fraud. To redo my trailer I found Line-X of London… http://www.linexlondon.com/ on net who proudly clarified to me that they rarely use Line-X any more. They are a certified SLC applicator with Lifetime Warranty, no questions asked. It was worth the trip to London. This Bulletin was provided by Randy Lontz of SLC on Spray-Lining Coating’s reviews: http://spray-lining.net/wp-content/uploads/Spray-Lining-Franchise-Review-Guide.pdf – While that was published for those investing in a dealership like Rhino or Line-X its more than informative about true polyurea verses phony coatings sold as truck bed liners, Koi pond coatings, tank lining and agricultural coating.
